Finally, Today, IBPS had released the much awaited IBPS Clerk Exam Notification 2013. This is third IBPS Clerk Exam, the first being held in 2011 and Second in 2013. If this is the first time, you are applying for the IBPS Clerk Exam, then this post is all what you need.
What is IBPS Clerk Exam ?
IBPS Clerk Exam is a Common Written Exam (CWE) that is conducted by IBPS on the behalf of the participating banks (20 Banks except SBI) for Clerical Jobs in these Banks. This system of examination is approved by Govt of India. So, if you are looking for Clerical Jobs in Public Sector Banks, then this is the only exam, that will open the gateway for Clerical jobs in public banks.
From Advertising the Recruitment Notification to Conducting the Written Exam and Interview, the whole recruitment process is coordinated by IBPS.
Given below is the Structure of IBPS Clerk Exam
1) First, IBPS will conduct the Written Exam, popularly known as Common Written Exam (CWE). The 2013 IBPS Clerk CWE is tentatively scheduled in Nov/Dec, 2013
2) After that, IBPS will announced the results of CWE, those, who are declared as successful will be called for the Common Interview. The Common Interview will be held at various location in the country. The wight age of Common Interview is of 100 marks.
3) Again, IBPS will announce the Results of Common Interview and the shortlisted candidates will be asked to fill the preferences for participating organizations
4) Depending upon the number of vacancies and preferences filled by applicants, every successful candidate will be allotted one of the bank through a Computerized System.
The Whole Recruitment process for the Upcoming IBPS Clerk Exam, will take a period of 9 months (From Notification to Allotment)

Important Dates
Here is Chronology of Events for IBPS Clerk Exam 2013.
1) Online Registration, will start from : 19th Aug, 2013 to 7th Sept., 2013
2) Payment of Application Fees from : (a) Online: 19th Aug, 2013 to 7th Sept.
(b) Offline: 19th Aug, 2013 to 11th Sept.
3) Written Exam (Online) Dates: 30.11.2013/ 01.12.2013/ 07.12.2013/ 08.12.2013/ 14.12.2013 /15.12.2013.
List of Participating Banks in IBPS Clerk Exam
In previous IBPS Exam, 19 Public Sector Banks have participated, but in 2013 Clerk Exam, there are 19 Banks plus any other Bank and Financial Institution.
Who is Eligible to apply for IBPS Clerk Exam 2013 ?
Applicants looking for Banking Jobs in India, must apply for IBPS Clerk Exam, 2013, but before you apply make sure you full fill these Eligibility conditions.
1) Applicant must be a citizen of India.
2) Age Limit: Applicant must be over 18 years of Age and below 28 years of Age. The cut off date for determining the age limit is 1st August, 2013
3) Educational Qualifications: Applicants must posses a Degree in any discipline from a recognized university of India
4) Computer Literacy: Applicants must make working and operating knowledge of computers
5) Local Language Proficiency: Applicants must have knowledge of Official Language of the state (ie Applicants must be able to read, write and speak the Local/Official Language). Some Questions may be asked in Interview to check the candidates proficiency of Local language of the state
Selection Process for the IBPS Clerk Exam 2013
The Selection Process for the Recruitment of Clerks in Participating Banks and Financial Institutions, shall comprises of Written Test and then Followed by Common Interview. The Written Exam is tentatively scheduled in the month of Nov/Dec, 2013.
Here is the Short-Syllabus of IBPS Clerk Exam 2013
1) Only those Candidates, who passed the Written Exam, will be called for Common Interview
2) The Common Interview, will be held at selected centers in the country. The Weightage of Interview is 100 marks. General Category candidates need to obtain at least 40% marks in the Interview, while for other categorizes it is 35%.
How to Apply?
Applicants who full fill the above mentioned Eligibility criteria, can apply online in between 19th August to 7th Sept, 2013.
Application Fees: Applicants need to pay an application fees of Rs 600 (For General and OBC Candidates) and Rs 100 (For for SC/ST/PWD/EXSM candidates). The Fees can be paid either through Online mode OR Offline Mode
1) Online Mode: In Online Mode, applicants can pay the application fees, at the time of Submitting the Online Application. The Fees can be paid through Credit/Debit Cards and Internet Banking
2) Offline Mode: In Offline mode, the System will generate a Payment Challan, and you can deposit the fee in any of the below mentioned 7 Banks
Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra , Central Bank of India, Indian Overseas Bank, Punjab National Bank, United Bank of India
Online Application: Applicant can register themselves for the Upcoming IBPS Clerk Exam by logging on to the IBPS Official Website at (www.ibps.in).
Applicants must carefully fill all the Fields on the application form, by following the On-Screen Instructions.Before, applying online, applicants must have their Scanned Photograph and Signature with them, as it is needed for uploading online at the Online Application form.
After submitting the application form, applicants must Take the Print of the System Generated Application form and preserve it for future usage.
