In the just announced, IBPS Specialist Officers Exam Results 2012, a little over 5 % students have managed to qualify for the next round.Earlier the IBPS had conducted the Specialist Officers Exam on 11th March, 2012 in which approximately 3 lakh students appeared for the exam and only 16,268 candidates have been declared as successful. These successful students will now apply for Specialist Officers Jobs in Public Sector banks
The Specialist Officers Exam was conducted for different fields such as IT Officers, Agriculture Field Officers, Technical Officers, Law Officers, HR/ Personnel Officers, Marketing Officers, Rajbhasha Officers etc
Only 5 % students Passed
The pass percentage of students for IBPS Specialist Officers Exam is relatively poor when compared to Other IBPS Exams like that of Probationary Officers and Clerk. In the IBPS PO Exam, 10 % students have managed to qualify for the next round, and in the IBPS Clerk exam, 17 % students have been declared as successful. The main reason for such a Lower percentage is the lesser number of Specialist Officers vacancies in the Public Sector banks.
Specialist Officers Vacancies in Public Sector Banks
Passed students in the IBPS Specialist Officers Exam 2012 will now apply for Specialist Officers Jobs in 19 Public Sector banks.According to data made available by IBPS, there are only 4,000 specialist Officers vacancies in the 19 Public Sector banks.
Look out for Notifications ?
Successful students must regularly look out for Notifications inviting applications for Specialist Officers Jobs in Public Sector banks. It is expected that banks will invite applications from successful students from the month of May and onwards. The Recruitment Notifications will be published Online on the respective bank's website and the same will also be notified in the Leading National News Papers and Employment News paper.

Today
we have some mixed bag of news for both the Graduates and
Undergraduates. We have been asked this question so many times in our Facebook and Comments Section about the Different Eligibility criteria for Banks and IBPS.In fact in one of our previous posts, we have mentioned the 4 Reasons as to Why the IBPS Examination System is a Failure ? Now let us Come to the point and the pin point is that
The
Government of India had ordered that Minimum Educational Qualification
in order to apply for Clerk Jobs in Public Sector Banks in now Graduation
Good News for Graduates OR Bad News for Undergraduates
So
what do you think about this news.I discussed this news with my two
friends and one is rejoiced to hear the news and the other feel down
after hearing the news.Obviously the one who feels good is Graduate and
other who feels bad is Undergraduate.
Since
the graduation is the minimum educational qualification, so those who
wish to apply for Clerk Jobs on the basis of H Sc. marks will now have
to wait till they acquire a graduation degree.
Graduates Point of View:
For graduates it is a welcome decision as the number of candidates
applying for this exam will now be lower down as only those holding a
graduate degree can apply for IBPS and other bank exams. This simply means Less Competition in IBPS Clerk Exam 2012 and exams that follow in Subsequent years
Undergraduates Point of View: Getting a Bank Clerk after HSC now seems a distant dream, but every undergraduate who passed the IBPS Clerk Exam would like to know whether this eligibility rule will apply for this exam or in Upcoming IBPS Exams
Behind the Scenes ?
This decision is not taken only in one night. The Government of India had made a Committee in 2010 under the Chairman ship of Dr Anil K Khandelwal (former Bank Of Baroda chairman) to look into the HR issue and report the recommendations to the government and accordingly the committee submitted its report with 105 recommendations, and out of which the Government accepted 56.
In
these 56 recommendations, the key factor that got Government's nod is
Fixing the Graduation as the Minimum Qualification to apply for Clerk
Jobs in Public Sector banks.
IBPS in Dilemma ?
IBPS is being highly criticized during these months for Showing different and doing different. In the IBPS Clerk Notification that was issued in the month of August 2011, the educational qualification to appear in this exam is
Pass in SSLC (10th Class) with 60 % marks OR Pass in HSC (12th Class) with 50 % marks OR A Graduation degree
After the declaration of Results, till date 6 Banks have announced Clerk Vacancies for the passed students in the IBPS clerk Exam 2011.You can go through the Complete List of Banks hiring IBPS Qualified candidates at the link given below
Out of these six banks, only Bank of Baroda and Andhra Bank have asked for a degree, while the other 4 banks have decided to go on with HSC marks only.
Some sigh of Relief
Those
Undergraduates who have passed the IBPS Clerk Exam with good marks can
breathe easy as 4 out of 6 banks have not asked for the Graduation
degree. So those who have applied for these banks may have a sigh of
relief as it looks that this new rule will be implemented from the next
project.
What IBPS Director Said ......
When
contacted by the Hindu Business Line, IBPS Director, M Balachandran
said, that This Government order might bring a change a in the
Eligibility criteria of the Next IBPS Clerk Exam 2012 as the minimum qualification for appear in the Next CWE for Clerks in a Graduation degree.
Clarifying
IBPS's stand on the Eligibility criteria, Mr Balacahndtran said that
Government's order on fixing the eligibility criteria was a recent
development which came after the IBPS had issued the Notification and
conducted the IBPS Clerk Exam.
Your Thoughts ?
Without
your thoughts, this article is incomplete.I would like that every bank
aspirant who is affected by this decision of Government of India either
in a good way or bad way must post his/ her views about the topic in the
Comment Section given below.
Your Responses are determined to Change the System !!!!
Reserve bank of India had issued the Notification for the Recruitment of Assistants in March ,2012.Students who have applied for this exam will have to appear for a Written Exam on 29th April, 2012.Although this date is tentative and actual date will be provided in the Hall Ticket that can be downloaded from the RBI Official Website i.e (www.org.in).
Most students who have applied for this exam are looking for the Call letters but till date the Hall tickets are not made available on the website and this created much chaos among the students.More there is likelihood that RBI may conduct the Exam on two different dates as on the same day there is AIEEE Exam.So it gets difficult to accommodate a huge volume of students on a particular day.Although this is only a prediction and it should not taken as granted as there is no official word yet on it.
If you are looking for RBI Call letter or Hall tickets then go through these steps given below:
Download the Call Letters by Logging on to the RBI's Official Website (www.rbi.org.in).
After that enter you registration details that were generated at the time of online Registration.
Take the Print out of the Call Letter and produce it at the time of the Written Exam.
A good News is that RBI Exam Hall Tickets are now Available and you can download the Hall Tickets from the Link given below.
IF you face any problems in downloading the RBI Hall Tickets, then post your Comments below OR You can read our detailed information about RBI Hall Tickets at the Link given below
