What is IBPS PO Exam ?
IBPS is an independent Recruitment agency, that does the Recruitment of Employees (PO and Clerks) in 20 Public Sector Banks. It is worth mentioning here that prior to 2011, Recruitment in Banks, is done Individually by each Bank on its own, but in 2011 the Govt of India had mandated IBPS to conduct the Recruitment, on the behalf of Banks.
SBI is the only public Sector Bank, that does not come under the IBPS CWE platform and conducts its Exams independently
- IBPS PO Exam is conducted once an year. In 2011, this exam was held in Sept, while in 2012 in June.
- After Passing the IBPS PO Exam, you become eligible to apply for PO Jobs in 20 Participating Banks.
- Successful candidates in the Written Exam, will be called for the Common Interview. The Final Merit is based on marks secured by you in Written exam and Common Interview. Only those candidates, who rank higher in the Merit List are allotted one of the Bank, through a Computerized System.
When IBPS will conduct the PO Exam in 2013 ?
Everyone, here is eager to Know the Dates of Next IBPS PO Exam. It is worth mentioning here that IBPS Does not have a fixed schedule OR Timetable for its exams, like we have in UPSC and SSC, where yearly Exam Calenders are published every year.

As per the Response, the Tentative Schedule of Upcoming IBPS PO exam is as under
Date of Release of Notification : 10th July to 30th July, 2013
Date of IBPS PO Exam 2013 : Oct/Nov, 2013
